In a tragic incident, a school PT master’s punishment for a student who came late to school has allegedly lead to the student’s death. The boy Narendran, belonging to 10th standard of a private school in Perambur had come ten minutes later. 

As a punishment for lacking in punctuality, the school’s PT master had asked Narendran to do duck-walk around the campus ground which had allegedly made the boy collapse. Even after having taken the boy to a nearby hospital, he did not respond to the treatment and was announced dead.

The PT master has been arrested by the police and the school authorities have suspended him as well. Parents, friends and students are currently  protesting in the school premises heavily condemning the incident.
