Cherry's fee for Zanjeer pegged at Rs. 12.5 cr.

With Zanjeer being made in two languages as a bilingual (Hindi and Telugu), it is said that the producers do not have any problem in splurging something like Rs. 60 cr for the film. Signing Priyanka Chopra for the mind-blowing sum of Rs. 6 cr has been a feather in their cap.

If Piggy Chops has got a superstar's fee, can Ram Charan be far behind? Sources in Mumbai aver that the Telugu superstar has been signed for Rs. 12.5 cr for Zanjeer, his career's highest fee. However, the actor has been tight-lipped about this, as he thinks it is not for him to talk about such trivial matters. His fee for a Tollywood film is said to be between Rs. 5-6 cr.

Cherry has been offered this staggering remuneration for obvious reasons. The film will have a good national market, thanks to the presence of Priyanka and Amitabh Bacchan, who is doing a guest appearance. On the other hand, Cherry enjoys a mammoth market in Andhra Pradesh. The film's Telugu and Hindi versions will be cheerfully welcomed in Karnataka as well, the producers believe. The Telugu version will, besides, have a bigger market than Zanjeer in the overseas (especially US).
