Cab company's decision after its driver raped and killed a woman

Crimes associated with cab hailing services are nothing new. We’ve heard them, read them on news like a hundred times atleast. But guess what a famous Chinese cab hailing company did after its driver raped and killed a woman passenger last week?
The Chinese company suspended one of its carpooling services itself. In addition to that, it also fired two employees. Didi Chuxing, the company also released an official statement after the incident: “We are deeply sorry. We fell short of your expectations. We can’t and we won’t shirk from our responsibilities.”
The victim is identified to be a 20 year old woman who took Didi’s carpool vehicle around 2 am. The criminal has been identified as Zhong who is 27 years old who has confessed to raping and killing the victim.
