Nayanthara is starring as the lead in the upcoming thriller film 'Kolaiyuthir Kaalam' produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja and directed by Chakri Toletti. The press meet for the film was held on Saturday and Radha Ravi who was a guest took the mic.

Radha Ravi was critical about people calling Nayanthara a Lady Superstar and a legend stating that such praise is reserved for immortal legends such as MGR and Sivaji. He shocked the women in the event by recalling that many scandalous news came out about Nayanthara and sice Tamils forget it in four days she has attained a star status.

The veteran villain took the misogyny to heights when he said that earlier K.R. Vijaya was first choice for playing goddesses because when people see her they fold their hands in respect but in case of Nayanthara (playing Sitha in a Telugu movie) she looks like a promiscious woman who people will call for sex.

Chinmayi took to Twitter to slam Radha Ravi "I really think people want him and his obscene speeches so that some Youtube channels can put it up. Thereby they keep feeding the misogyny - But say ‘hey we are balanced and want to show all sides of a coin’". She has also pointed to the Nadigar Sangam "Ok.
So the Producer’s council and the Nadigar Sangam can’t take any action in my case because they cannot ‘interfere in the functioning of other unions’.
But This man is actually abusing a successful female actor on stage.
Do take action, if you could?".

Chinmayi has called out to male actors of Kollywood "Been waiting since yesterday for *some* sort of a condemnation from the male actor fraternity in Tamilnadu since yesterday.

In this video Radha Ravi, President, TN Dubbing Union openly slut shames a female actor at HER movie’s trailer launch.
And not. a. word from anyone. Yet."
