Chinmayi boldly came forward to level sexual misconduct charges against Vairamuthu on social media and many of her followers have followed suit sharing their terrible experiences. Accusations have been made against legendary carnatic musicians, dance masters, television personalities, luxury hospital staff and even doctors.

Chinmayi who has been relentlessly posting all the sexual assault stories has sort of pioneered the Me Too and Time is Up movement in South India. She has announced that she is very tired and wanted to take a break from social media. She is performing in a live concert on October 14th with Sathya Prakash at Skywalk Mall.
