Karthi's ‘Chinna Babu’, dubbed from Tamil, is ready for a grand theatrical release.  The rural-based drama is one of the most optimistic dubbed releases in recent times.  

Ahead of its release on July 13, the film's teaser suggests it has all potentially  clap-worthy and massy elements.  Produced by Suriya and Miryala Ravinder Reddy on 2D Entertainment and Dwaraka Creations, the film has Sayyeshaa of 'Akhil' fame as the heroine.  

Written and directed by Pandiraj, 'Chinna Babu' is an intense family, action and comedy.  "Our film also deals with the issues of farmers. Karthi is playing the role of a farmer," the director says.

D Imman's first single was released on Wednesday.  R Velraj is the cinematographer.
