Chiranjeevi's Acharya replaces Allu Arjun's Pushpa?

Uncertainty looms over the release date of Acharya starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal. While it is more or less confirmed that the Koratala Siva directorial is not releasing on May 13 due to rising Covid-19 cases, the grapevine is that the makers are now considering August 13 as the new release date for Acharya. Interestingly, it is the date locked by the makers of Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa.

The spike in Covid-19 cases has resulted in the delay of shoot for many films including Acharya and Pushpa. At the moment, it looks improbable for Pushpa to release on August 13. As the team of Acharya has already decided to postpone the release, they are now planning to schedule their film on Pushpa's date. An official confirmation is awaited, says a source close to the development.

Also featuring Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta, Tanikella Bharani and Ajay, Acharya is a socio-political entertainer that presents Chiranjeevi as a naxalite leader. Produced under Konidela Productions in collaboration with Matinee Entertainment, Acharya has music by Mani Sharma.
