Megastar Chiranjeevi has distanced himself from politics, emphasizing his renewed focus on films over political endeavors. While he has reiterated this stance on multiple occasions, other members of the Mega family remain actively involved in political activities. Notably, Chiranjeevi's younger brother, Power Star Pawan Kalyan, has emerged as a prominent figure in Andhra Pradesh politics, contesting as an MLA from Pithapuram in the upcoming AP Assembly elections. The Janasena party, founded by Pawan Kalyan, is contesting in 21 seats, having formed alliances with the Telugu Desam and BJP parties.
The bond between the Mega brothers was recently highlighted when Pawan Kalyan visited Chiranjeevi on the sets of his ongoing film, 'Vishwambhara.' During this meeting, Chiranjeevi made a significant contribution of Rs. 5 crores to the Janasena party, demonstrating his support for Pawan Kalyan's political aspirations.
Pawan Kalyan's commitment to Janasena is evident through his acceptance of donations, no matter how small, to support the party's management expenses. Additionally, various members of the Mega family, including Mega Mother Anjana Devi, young hero Varun Tej, Sai Durga Tej, Vaishnav Tej, and Niharika Konidela, have contributed generously to the Janasena Kalu Rythu Welfare Fund and party funds.
While Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu are the only members of the Mega family actively involved in politics, others have expressed their willingness to support Janasena if called upon by Pawan Kalyan. However, Pawan Kalyan has reportedly advised the younger stars of the Mega Family to focus on their film careers and avoid active involvement in politics. Pawan Kalyan's commitment to the Janasena cause extends to his grassroots fundraising efforts, with donations being accepted from individuals of varying financial capacities. Despite this, the Mega family is expected to support Janasena in the upcoming elections, either directly or indirectly, as a show of solidarity with Pawan Kalyan's political journey.
