Chirstmas is the new Diwali for Kollywood

A few years ago, 4-5 major films used to release for Diwali and later the number started to dip as the big budget movies get the major chunk of the halls and thus reduced the releases. Now, there are 4 movies, Vaalu', Pisasu', Kayal', and Muni 3' looking good for a Christmas release. Lawrence was the first one to announce that his horror comedy would be released for the biggest winter festival and Prabhu Solomon is pretty keen on getting Kayal' on 26th of December, which marks the 10th anniversary of Tsunami.
The latest to join in the party is Mysskin's Pisasu' and STR's long pending Vaaalu'. Sources say that at least one movie would opt out of the race sighting the lack of screens and the movie buffs are looking forward to end the year with a promising line up.
