Indiaglitz had already informed you that the entire shooting of Chiyaan Vikram starrer long-delayed movie 'Cobra', was wrapped up a few days ago. Vikram will be seen as a mathematician in the upcoming action thriller, also starring Srinidhi Shetty, Miya George, cricketer Irfan Pathan and KS Ravikumar.

Ajay Gnanamuthu, a former assistant director of AR Murugadoss and the director of super hit Tamil films 'Demonte Colony' and 'Imaikka Nodigal', is helming 'Cobra', under the production of SS Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio. The music and original score are composed by Isai Puyal AR Rahman with cinematography handled by Harish Kannan.

Now, a tweet from the film's director has courted controversy on social media. Ajay Gnanumuthu has thanked Chiyaan Vikram and the team in his tweet after the shooting wrap-up but didn't mention the producer specifically in the post. Producer T Siva of Amma Creations responded to his tweet and wrote, "I strongly rebuke the director for not even thanking the producer Lalit Kumar, who patiently co-operated to complete the film although the expenses were much higher than the budget."

Ajay Gnanamuthu answered him, "With due respect sir!! I can prove that I’m not the reason for budget over shoot of cobra whenever and wherever I’m asked to!! Proofs will speak louder and clearer than rumours!! And by “team” it also includes my producer. I’m always not letting him down! It was not intentional sir!! I always hold my production and producer in high regards.. Always!! Cheers sir. (sic)"
