Chiyaan Vikram received high critical praise for his towering performance as Aditha Karikalan in 'Ponniyin Selvan' directed by Mani Ratnam. The film has also become the highest grossing in the history of Tamil cinema collecting more than rupees five hundred crores.

Vikram meanwhile has started shooting for his next magnum opus 'Thangalaan' directed by Pa. Ranjith. The film is set in the 1800s and is based in the Kolar Gold Fields area. Already the glimpse video showing Vikram in a stunning getup as the pre indepence era hero impressed fans and movie lovers.

Now Vikram has shared photos of himself sporting a very long beard and captioned it “With great beard comes great responsibility!” with the hashtag #Thangalaan. The pics have gone viral instantly and fans are even more excited that this will be yet another new getup in his celebrated career.

'Thangalaan' produced by Studio Green has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar. The starcast comprises of Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Pasupathi.
