Title - Cigarette, Producers - Shiv Kabbin and Lucky Shanker, Direction - Lucky Shanker, Music - Indrasena, Cinematography - Ramesh Raaj, Cast - Nagashekhar, Roopasri, Rakshita Ponnamma, Sadhu Kokila, Girija Lokesh, Sudhakar, Sudha Belawadi, Lakki Shanker, Kuri Pratap, Mithra, Vijay Chendur and others. The main emphasis of the film to bring awareness on ill effects of smoking 'Cigarettes' gets defeated with the inclusion of love triangle included in it.

Of course one of the two heroines (Roopasri) connect to smoking but the issue gets diluted with no technical up gradation done for the film. The comedy of Sadhu Kokila does not go inside the subject and the pressure of watching such scenes is extra burden for audience. Even the passive smoking sequence developed for the film (Girija Lokesh and Swayamvara Chandru) is a case to noted down. The war on 'Cigarette' is not convincing despite the environmentalist Suresh Heblikar coming to the aid of protagonist Rajakumar (Nagashekhar).

The materialistic love and pure love later takes the centre stage. The end purpose of the 'Cigarette' also slow down in campaign as loss of a lover for 'Cigarette' smoking is given prominence.Nagashekhar has over acted. His dialogue delivery is not convincing. Sadhu Kokila portion irritate. Roopasri and Rakshita are adequate.
There are two meaningful songs but cinematography is a big lapse.

Nothing compelling!
