Popular comedy actor Bala Saravanan's father S.A. Ranganathan has reportedly passed away due to COVID 19 in his hometown Madurai. He was 60 and was said to have been hospitalized after complications arising after the infection.

Sadly on May 7th Bala Saravanan shared the news that his sister's husband passed away due to the coronavirus at the age of 32 and warned his fans to be careful about the deadly disease. He had added that it is not courage but cowardly to believe that the virus will not affect us.

Music composer Justin Prabhakar has posted his condolence message on Twitter "Very sad to hear @Bala_actor we believed everything will be alright. don’t know how to console you. My prayers to family. Deepest condolences."
