Sathankulam death accused policeman dies due to Coronavirus!

One of the sensational incidents that happened in Tamil Nadu in recent times was the custodial deaths of two innocents Jayaraj and Bennicks, who passed away after being brutally attacked by police officers for opening their shops beyond stipulated time.
This incident that happened in Sathankulam, Thoothukudi shook the nation and there was a nationwide movement demanding justice for Jayaraj and Bennicks. This lead to the arrest of 10 policemen.
Among the 10 accused, Sub inspector Paul Durai had been suffering from ill health and was admitted in Madurai government hospital and was being treated. It was diagnosed that Paul Durai also had Coronavirus infection, and now he has passed away. 54 year old Paul Durai was a diabetic and had tested positive on July 24.
