Breaking ! Medical experts recommend extension of Coronavirus lockdown in TN

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi Pazhaniswamy had an important discussion with medical experts over video conferencing and the committee constituting of 19 members has recommended extending the lockdown to another 14 days to combat the coronavirus spread. The state as of Thursday night has 834 patients who have tested positive which is the second most in India after Maharashtra.

The Tamil Nadu government first announced a 14-day lockdown on March 23rd which was later extended to 21 days by the central government. The period should have ended on April 14th but with the new extension, most likely be announced after teh cabinet meeting on Saturday. The curfew extension would mean that the whole of April will be a stay at home and social distancing practice for the TN residents.
