Court vs Dilruba: Can Big Statements By Makers Help These Films In Theatres?

In this OTT era, people are not showing interest in going into theatres unless it is a big film with a big star cast or if it has a USP which draws audiences to the cinema halls. Thus, to create interest among viewers to get into theatres, makers and actors are coming up with interesting challenges and statements. Upcoming releases Court and Dilruba are examples of this trend.
Court and Dilruba are slated for release on the same day, on March 14. Speaking at the pre-release event of Court, the film's producer Nani said that if people don't like Court, they need not watch his next film HIT 3. Such is the confidence Nani is expressing in this movie. Notably, both films are being bankrolled by Nani himself.
On the other side, Dilruba producer Ravi also made a similar challenge at the film's pre-release event. He challenged that if people don't like Dilruba or if it becomes a flop, he will stop producing movies in the future. Such are his confidence levels.
Be it Natural Star Nani who enjoys immense popularity or a new producer like Ravi, everyone is trying to grab people's attention with such statements so that they will come and watch the film in theatres instead of thinking of skipping it and waiting for the OTT release.
At the end of the day, content matters the most and only, it can make audiences sit in cinema halls. If the content is not good enough, no film will work at the box office. Hopefully, Nani and Ravi's confidence reflects in their respective film's content which may lead to success.
