The Coronavirus spread has been mind numbing in Chennai and adjoining districts with daily cases exceeding 1400 for the week or so and the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Eddappadi Pazhaniswamy today had a meeting with the team of medical experts constituted by the government.
Based on the recommendations of the medical panel the government has announced total lockdown in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur and Chengalput districts from June 19th to June 30th. During the twelve days, all the shops will remain closed except medical stores and bare essentials such as milk and water supply.
