COVID-19: Tamil Nadu confirms 74 fresh cases , total rises to 485

COVID-19: Tamil Nadu confirms 74 fresh cases , total rises to 485

On Saturday, Tamil Nadu reported 74 fresh COVID-19 cases. Of the total 74 cases, 73 had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event at Markaz Nizamuddin, Delhi. This takes the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 485. Out of the total 485 cases in Tamil Nadu, 422 had attended the religious congregation at Delhi, said Beela Rajesh, Tamil Nadu Health Secretary. 

Also, Tamil Nadu reported two deaths from Villupuram and Theni districts today. The deceased are a 53-year-old woman from Theni and a 51-year-old man who succumbed to the disease on Saturday. With this, the death toll touched three in the state.
