Watch video: Crane protects its family amazingly from an alligator

Nature is fierce and can be sometimes very cruel, especially out in the wild. But sometimes the protective instincts that animals show can be very heart warming and surprising to look at. Here is a video that has surfaced in the web which shows an elegant sandhill crane protecting its family against a grumpy alligator.

The video which was captured by a golfer shows the crane escorting the alligator in the fairway all while taking up a protective stance by expanding its wings to safeguard its family. Sure it would have been a wonderful sight for Eric Drexler, the golfer caught it on video.
