Cricketer's wife joins BJP

Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife, Rivaba Jadeja, is now in the Bhartiya Janata Party. She has formally joined the saffron party in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
It may be noted that Rivaba is no stranger to public life. For the last five months, she has been the head of the Gujarat Karni Sena’s women’s wing. Those of you who remember the controversy around Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' would know that Karni Sena is a Rajput outfit very popular in parts of Rajasthan and other States above the Vindhyas. Karni Sena violently opposed the Hindi film until its theatrical release.
Rivaba has been quoted as saying that she is inspired by Narendra Modi's leadership to enter politics.
