Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez took to Instagram to announce the name of their baby daughter alongside a series of adorable pictures of the newborn.

The baby girl has been named ‘Bella Esmeralda.’ After arriving home with his daughter and his partner, Ronaldo shared a picture of his entire family alongside a caption which read, “Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family. Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”

Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez announced in October 2021 that they were expecting twins - a boy and a girl. On April 18, the player announced the tragic news of his son’s passing. “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” he had written.
