I will always be one of you: Cristiano Ronaldo shares emotional farewell video as he leaves Juventus

Manchester United announced on Friday that Cristiano Ronaldo is joining the Premier League club 12 years after he left Old Trafford for Real Madrid. The club reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of the Portugal forward, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical examination.

Sharing a heartfelt note for Juventus fans soon after he sealed the deal with United, Cristiano Ronaldo wrote, Today I depart from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in all of Europe. I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days. The tiffosi bianconeri always respected me and I tried to thank that respect by fighting for them in every game, every season, every competition.

In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together. I will always be one of you. You are now part of my history, as I feel that I’m part of yours. Italy, Juve, Turin, tiffosi bianconeri, you’ll always be in my heart, he added. Ronaldo scored 110 goals, won two Serie A titles and a Coppa Italia trophy with Juventus.

During his time at Manchester United, Ronaldo had scored 118 goals and won the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2007-08 season, the same year he helped the English club win their last Champions League title. He also won eight major trophies along with the Ballon d’Or in 2008.
