C.V.Kumar's 'Maayavan' box office report

Bankroller C.V.Kumar has wielded the megaphone for the first time for 'Maayavan' and the film has opened up with considerable positive reception from crtics and the general audience as well. 

The film which has Sundeep Kishan in the lead role was screened in 16 theatres with 135 shows as of last weekend earning Rs.42,32,994 at the Chennai box office. Overall, the film from Thursday until Sunday has reaped in Rs.50,49,352 in profits at the box office with a theatre presence of 85%.

Another film 'Chennai2Singapore' with a fresh ensemble cast has earned about Rs.7,53,956 at the box office this weekend which could be considered average.
