Salman Khan’s fans are indeed ‘dabangg’ (read fearless)….

Recently in Kanpur, fans of Sallu miyaan created a huge commotion after they found out that the ‘Dabangg’ star is not shooting in their vicinity. The chosen shooting location for ‘Dabangg 2’ was Bajaria police station and speculations were wide spread that the macho superstar will be there for the film’s shooting. However, the expectations fell flat when Salman eventually didn’t turn up, making the impatient fans break into a rampage.

According to sources, the fans turned violent and even went on to vandalised the police station; leaving the police no other option but to baton charge to control the crowd – which even led to arresting six people.

Stated ACP Bharat Singh in media interview, “The crowd was standing there hoping that Salman Khan is coming. To control the crowd we had to resort to lathi charge. We have filed complaint against many.”

Talks are that few days back Arbaaz Khan, Salman's brother and ‘Dabangg 2’ director, had been in Kanpur to finalise few shooting locations. This set the gossip mills to churn out that Salman will soon be in the town. Now with this incident, sources revealed that for security reasons, the makers of ‘Dabangg 2’ have dropped the idea of shooting further in Kanpur and to shift over to Lucknow instead.
