'Dabangg' helmer to make Ranbir Kapoor a tapori

The filmmaker gave the macho bhai of B-town Salman Khan a completely different and dumdaar, dabangg identity which rocketed the superstar to a great, successful height. Next he is going to transform the dashing, smart youngistan heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor into a similar local avatar and grapevines boasts that one can expect to see the Kapoor baccha in a never-before kind of character in his career.
Talks are that ÂDabangg director Abhinav Kashyap has a movie planned up for Ranbir where the actor will be playing a Mumbai Tapori, which in fact will have shades of la Chulbul Pandey from ÂDabanggÂ. Apparently, Ranbir, who is alleged to have given his nod for the project, will have to undergo few workshops for his character. His character is that of a bold, upfront, street smart guy. His body language and talking style will be very Mumbaiyya, reveals a source.
While the female lead is yet to be finalized, it is said that the project will go on floors in November. The untitled film will be produced by Kashyap along with Viacom 18. However, the final confirmation is awaited from the concern parties.
Incidentally, Kashyap had signed Ranbir for an adventure flick titled ÂKarnaamaÂ, however things didnÂt go as planned and the project has been put on hold as of now.
