Dachepalli incident agonizes us: Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan has expressed shock and sadness over the tragic Dachepalli rape incident in Guntur where a 9-year-old girl was brutally raped by a 50-year-old man.  

"Incidents like Kathua always agonize me and the civil society.  The Dachepalli incident saddens us and reminds us of our helplessness. In this hour, I urge the police machinery and the government to stand with the victim and her family.

To curb such atrocities against women, we should introduce tough measures like public caning," the actor-politician said on Thursday.

The Jana Sena leader had recently proposed public caning of the kind that has been in vogue in Singapore.
