Dakota Johnson's new film "Madame Web" has released its trailer. Directed by SJ Clarkson, it is based on a screenplay by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless and tells the story of an ambulance worker in Manhattan, Cassandra Webb, who discovers that she has powers allowing her to foresee events. The story's synopsis indicates that she connects with three young ladies, deemed for great future achievements, and this helps her make peace with herself.

The cast for Spider-Woman includes Dakota Johnson as the main role of Spider-Woman, Sydney Sweeney and Celeste O'Connor as the two other Spider-Women, and Isabela Merced as Spider-Girl/Anya Corazon. Tahar Rahim plays the role of the spider villain. It is the fourth in the series of Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU), following the Venom movies and Morbius, released in 2022.

Madame Web, an older clairvoyant mutant with the gift to know the future, especially for Spider-themed superheroes, was presented in the comic books. She has mentored numerous Spider-Women through different generations. The character first made a rather brief appearance in the 1980 comic "The Amazing Spider-Man No. 210."

"Madame Web" is due out in theaters in February 2024, giving fans a thrilling view of the ramping up of the Spider-Man Universe storyline.
