Dattatreya slams Mohan Babu

A day after actor Mohan Babu controversially stated that in the event of leaving Hyderabad, everyone has to leave after handing over the city to the Muslims, BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya slammed the actor's statement and demanded an apology for making the senseless statement.

Though artistes have the right to have personal opinions, Bandaru remarked, it is better for them to not participate in movements and make comments on issues that concern the law and order situation. He said that unnecessary controversies over Hyderabad are unwarranted.

The heroic act of martyrs who won the Hyderabad freedom from the barbaric Razakars, was mentioned by the leader. By making the mindless statements on the issue, Mohan Babu had hurt the sentiments of Telanganites, Bandaru opined.

It is only expected that more and more will join Bandaru in the criticism of Mohan Babu. The eerie and sick logic of the actor that the city originally belongs to the Muslims, because it had once belonged to the Nizams, should be reviled by all right-thinking citizens, including film personalities. The actor must be strongly told that Muslims of the city do not identify with the past and are strong votaries of Hyderabad-for-everyone theory.
