Former England footballer David Beckham’s 73-year-old father Ted Beckham tied the knot with 62-year-old millionaire solicitor partner Hilary Meredith in an intimate ceremony, with David Beckham serving as his father’s best man.
The ceremony took place in London’s Temple, and was attended by the entire Beckham family, including David Beckham’s wife Victoria and their children Romeo (19) Cruz (16) and Harper (10). It’s the second marriage for Hilary as well as Ted, who divorced his first wife and David's mother Sandra in 2002 after 32 years of marriage. A source close to the family was reportedly quoted as saying, “It was a very small private affair with just a handful of close family and friends, including David, Victoria and three of the children.”
The source further specified, “David was best man and did all the usual things the best man does like hold the rings and he was due to give a speech as well. Ted is in his 70s and Hilary is in her 60s. It was the second wedding for both of them so they didn’t want to make a fuss of it but the whole family was delighted to be there.”
