When Ajith's 'Billa 2' hits the screens on June 22, it will take the theatres of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh by storm, as plans are on to release the film in almost all top cinema halls in both the States.

Aascar V Ravichandran, who has acquired the Tamil Nadu distribution rights, has booked top screens all over the State. Likewise, leading AP theatres have been booked to screen the Telugu version, titled 'David Billa: The Beginning', sources say.

While Karnataka will see the release of both the versions, the Tamil version will be released simultaneously in Kerala and other States, besides foreign countries. So this 51st film of Ajith will be released in more than 1000 screens around the world.

Directed by Chakri Toleti, the movie is produced by In Entertainment and Wide Angle Creations. It is a prequel to 'Billa' and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja
