Karunanidhi wife Dayalu Ammalu hospitalized

Dayalu Ammal the wife of the late former chief minister Kalaigniar M Karunanidhi has been admitted to the Apollo Hospital late last night. The administration declined to reveal any details about her ailment and sources there are of the opinion that a statement would be released later in the day.

Dayalu Ammal is the mother of the new DMK Chief M.K. Stalin, M.K. Azhagiri, M.K. Tamilarasu and Selvi Selvam. She married Karunanidhi in 1946 and reports say that she has been suffering from Alzhiemer's disease for a few years now.
