'The Flash' is one of the most anticipated superhero films from the DC franchise. It is based on the speedster comic character of the same name. Produced by DC Films, Ezra Miller starrer is set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures. The first minute-long sneak peek of the film was debuted at the DC FanDome 2021 on October 16.

'The Flash' is influenced by the comic book storyline Flashpoint that will feature multiple versions of the DC character Batman. DC has already adapted the storyline in their animated movie 'The Flashpoint Paradox'. It is the twelfth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) that is directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Christina Hodson.

In The Flash, Ezra Miller who plays the titular role travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder, which brings unintended consequences. The yesteryear actor Michael Keaton who starred as the Batman in the 90s and the Hollywood star Ben Affleck who starred as Batman in BvS and Justice League will be reprising their version of the masked vigilante in this film respectively.

In the new teaser trailer, we get to see different versions of Flash from alternate universes. As we get to see multiple versions of Batman from different universes, this is one of the biggest cross-over films of DCEU. Fans are naming 'The Flash' as DC's reply to Marvel's multiverse movie 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. The video opens with two versions of Barry Allen visiting a deserted Wayne Manor.

In the brief clip, we see the shots of Barry travelling to the past to save his mother. It is followed by a scene of Miller flaunting his new superhero suit. It is followed by the visuals of Flash visiting the Batcave of Keaton's Batman. We are then introduced to Keaton's Batman who emerges from the shadows. He has donned the rubber bat suit from Tim Burton's Batman films once again.

“Are you in?” the Flash asks Batman of their mission. The ending moments see Allen pulling off the sheet from the Batmobile of Keaton's Batman. The movie will also feature actor Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, the romantic interest of Barry. Sasha Calle stars as Supergirl the glimpse of the film of the alternate universes. The Flash is locked to land in theaters in November 2022.
