We had already reported to you that the world-famous superhero franchise DC has revealed the new trailers of Batman and Flash in their yearly fan event. The latest news is that the production house has also launched the first look teaser of 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson starrer 'Black Adam' at DC FanDome 2021.

'Black Adam' is a villain character in the DC Comics and this film is intended to be an anti-hero film from DC Extended Universe (DCEU) in the likes of Marvel's anti-hero film 'Venom'. This movie is a spin-off from DC's previous superhit 'Shazam!'. Black Adam is an antihero from Kahndaq who was imprisoned for 5,000 years. He will become the archenemy of the superhero Shazam.

In the fan event, Johnson talked about the film before sharing the BTS featurette and the teaser. Dwayne opened up that Black Adam is his long-time passion and his biggest action movie. He said, "This film, this universe has been a gigantic passion project of mine for a very long time. The film has without question some of the biggest action sequences I have ever been a part of."

Sharing the first footage from one of the movie’s opening scenes, Johnson tweeted: “He is ruthless. He is unstoppable. He is the reason the hierarchy of power in the DC universe is about to change. The Man in Black has come around...” The Rock further revealed the makers have recently begun the post-production process of the film.

The footage gives the first glimpse of the Rock's full Black Adam costume. The film's early scene began showing two explorers entering a cave and mistakenly they bring the Black Adam out, who turns man into dust in seconds and stops a bullet with his hands. 'Black Adam' will hit the screens on July 29, 2022.

Along with Johnson’s character, 'Black Adam' also focuses on the members of the Justice Society: Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Sara Shahi as Isis, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan (Dr. Fate). Black Adam will later meet Shazam in a future film as the baddie and DC also has plans for a face-off between Superman and him.
