The film DD Next Level, starring actor Santhanam and produced by Arya, is all set to release in theaters worldwide tomorrow. Just a day ahead of its release, the film’s team has made a significant decision that has sparked public attention.
Directed by Prem Anand, DD Next Level initially generated buzz through its teaser and trailer. However, controversy erupted over the song “Kissa” featured in the film. Several Hindu organizations and BJP leaders raised objections, claiming the song was offensive. In Andhra Pradesh, a BJP member even sent a legal notice to Santhanam, demanding ₹100 crore in damages.
Adding to the tension, AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, during his visit to Tirupati, urged Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party members to ensure action was taken against the song.
In response to the escalating backlash, the film’s crew announced today that the controversial song “Kissa” has been removed from the movie. They confirmed that the song will not be part of the version releasing in theaters.
With this decision, the controversy appears to have been resolved, clearing the way for the film’s release.
