How many times have we thought that it's just a matter of a few minutes before things settle down on their own? How many times have we let go of some time thinking that there is always another day? How many times have we actually bothered to count the seconds that go by?
If one would have asked this question to Dr. Viren Goenka and his wife Sanjana, they would have been able to actually describe the value of every day, every minute, every second, every moment! Because there were just 24 hours that changed their life forever. Because they were threatened by nothing else, but time, that struck them in the form of a DEADLINE!
It's Mumbai and the family is that of the Goenkas. A happy family of three that comprises of Dr. Viren, his wife and their young daughter Anishka who is barely seven years old. They had everything they wanted - a comfortable life, good name in the society and above all happiness that came around with the feeling of togetherness.
Little did they know that soon their togetherness may be threatened with someone casting an evil eye on their family!
They were living in their old world and their happiness knew no bounds when the news broke about Viren being invited to Delhi to accept an award for his work as a doctor. Viren did go to Delhi but behind him something unthinkable happened!
Anishka was kidnapped. And that too right in front of Sanjana.
But how did this happen? And how could Sanjana allow this to happen? Because the man who kidnapped her was right there in the house with Sanjana and Anishka - he was Krish!
And now he and his gang of Roohi and Kabir want to play a game!
Krish stays on with Sanjana in the house and keeps a check on her. Roohi reaches Viren's hotel in Delhi and traps him in his room. And Kabir takes away Anishka away from the house...somewhere far away.
So what are the intentions of the kidnappers? Why are they playing such a unique and dangerous game? Why has the family of Goenkas being chosen for this criminal act of theirs?
Their master plan is complex and yet they plan to execute it in as simple manner as possible. What they desire from the Goenkas is to simply follow their instructions step by step! And each of the three being in separate locations also doesn't deter their plan as they carry cell phones and establish a strong communication mechanism between themselves.
And finally they make a demand....3 crores! DEADLINE - 24 hours!
And this too when neither Viren nor Sanjana are allowed to step out of their places!
Seeing that they don't have any alternative whatsoever, Viren and Sanjana agree to the demands. Viren looses everything in the bargain towards collecting 3 crores - his house, his hospital project...just about everything. But the kidnappers had a plan of their own!
Inspite of collecting huge money from the family, kidnappers do not return back their daughter.
Goenkas are on fire from hereon. They want Anishka back at any means. And for that they don't hesitate approaching the police to help them out. But in their case, even destiny didn't support them. Even the police is not able to find any lead in their case.
Until...the reality comes right there on your face. A brutal truth that was neither anticipated nor imagined in one's wildest thoughts! Because it was not just a game of kidnapping and ransom.
It was a game of life and death.
