Actress Malavika Mohanan, who made her acting debut as Dulquer Salmaan's love interest in the Mollywood film Pattam Pole, has been roped in to play the leading lady in the Majid Majidis' next, Beyond The Clouds. Interestingly, Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone was auditioned for this particular role, but later, the actress was dropped due to reasons unknown.

'Beyond The Clouds' will mark the debut of Ishan Khattar, brother of popular Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. While Ishaan started shooting for the film last month, Malavika has started filming for the movie recently in Mumbai. Set in India, the most talked about international film talks about a brother-sister relationship.

In Mollywood, the well-rounded theater artist is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, The Great Father, which would hit the theatres on March 30. In the upcoming Mammootty starrer, Malavika Mohanan plays the role of a police officer. Congratulations Malavika Mohanan!
