Deepika Padukone to reprise Sridevi in remake: Reports

A Bollywood producer is keen on remaking a decades-old Sridevi film, sections of Mumbai-based media have reported today. The producer in question is in the process of procuring the film's remake rights from a southern production house which had bankrolled the original.
Deepika Padukone will reprise Sridevi's role in the movie, the reports say. With her daring to be willing to step into the legendary actress's shoes, the remake could happen with likely certainty.
After the stupendous success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat', Deepika is yet to choose her next move. She will shoot for Vishal Bhardwaj's film with Irrfan Khan, who has been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor. Recently, there were reports that Deepika will marry Ranveer Singh on November 10.
