Delhi High Court Rules in Favor of Aishwarya Rai

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has secured a major relief from the Delhi High Court, which ruled in her favor over the unauthorized use of her name, photographs, and videos.

Recently, Aishwarya approached the court alleging that unknown individuals were misusing her images by morphing them and circulating obscene content online. She argued that such actions not only damaged her reputation but also violated her publicity and personal rights.

After hearing the case, the Delhi High Court issued strict orders prohibiting any unauthorized use of Aishwarya Rai’s photos, videos, or name without her consent. The court further clarified that her personal and publicity rights are to be duly protected.

Legal experts note that the verdict sets an important precedent for the protection of celebrities against digital impersonation, content morphing, and misuse of identity in the online space.
