Young woman's body found inside suitcase

A woman’s body with multiple slashes across her face was found stuffed in a suitcase on the roadside near the Kondli canal in east Delhi on Tuesday night.
The 25-year-old victim was found by an auto-rickshaw driver who had been passing by the street. As soon as he spotted the abandoned suitcase, he reported it to the police. Upon opening the suitcase, the police saw the body of the woman with her face down. The name “Mohit” was tattooed on her hand. The deceased woman is yet to be identified, as the police are going through profiles of missing women registered at the local police stations.
A case has been registered while the police are scanning CCTV videos around the area. The victim’s body has been preserved in a mortuary and will reportedly soon be sent for a post-mortem examination.
