Today, director Ajay Gnanaumthu and his team celebrated the 7th anniversary of Demonte Colony's release with an exciting announcement. The makers have announced a sequel to the 2015 film Arulnithi returning to play the lead role. Ajay has stated that he will pen the story, screenplay & dialogues while his 'Cobra' associate director Venkatesh directs it.

Also, Ajay Gnanmuthu is turning into a producer for the first time with 'Demonte Colony 2'. The official statement read that there are plans to make more movies in the 'Demonte colony' universe in future. On the work front, Ajay's next film 'Cobra', starring Chiyaan Vikram, is all set to release on August 11.
