It is being reported that music composer Devi Sri Prasad has been brought on board to score music for Ram Pothineni's bilingual film - RAPO 19 - with director Lingusamy. Grapevine is that DSP has pocketed Rs 3 crore as his remuneration for this film.

"Devi Sri Prasad is keen to compose the music for RAPO 19 provided the makers agree to pay him Rs 3 crore as his salary. As the film is being made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, Devi felt that he had to put in an extra effort to make RAPO 19 a musical extravaganza. The makers had no choice but to accept DSP's demand as Ram has suggested his name for the film," says a source.

Ram and Devi Sri Prasad had earlier worked for films such as Ready and Hello Guru Prema Kosame and this project brings them together for the third time. Billed to be an intense action entertainer, the word is that Ram Pothineni will be seen as a cop in the film. Kriti Shetty, who made a promising debut with Uppena, is being cast as the first female lead opposite Ram, while the makers are yet to finalise the second lead.

RAPO 19 marks the debut of Ram Pothineni in Tamil and Lingusamy's in Telugu. The location recce for the film has recently begun in Hyderabad and in all probability, the team is planning to commence the shooting next month.
