Devil's Double Next Level: Hit or Flop?
Devil's Double Next Level, the fourth film in the popular Dhilluku Dhuddu series, has hit theatres across Tamil Nadu and beyond. Written and directed by S. Prem Anand, the film blends horror and comedy, staying true to the franchise's tone. Santhanam headlines the movie alongside a cast that includes Geethika Tiwary, Selvaraghavan, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
Produced by Niharika Entertainment and presented by Arya’s The Show People, the movie follows the events of DD Returns (2023). This latest installment adds a meta twist, offering something fresh for fans of the series.
Early reactions on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) show mixed responses. Viewers are divided on its storyline, performances, and overall execution.
The plot revolves around a sarcastic film critic who gets trapped in a haunted realm inspired by the very horror films he critiques. He is haunted by the soul of a failed filmmaker, setting off a dark yet humorous narrative filled with ghosts, puzzles, and sharp satire on the film industry itself.
The supporting cast features Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri, Redin Kingsley, Yashika Anand, Motta Rajendran, and Maran. The film's visuals are handled by Dipak Kumar Padhy, editing by Barath Vikraman, and music by ofRO. Other key contributions come from stunt directors Silva and Hari Dinesh, choreographer Kalyan, and VFX team Lorven Studios.
With minimal competition at the box office this weekend, Devil's Double Next Level aims to make its mark through strong word-of-mouth and fan support.
