DGP issues legal notice to DIG Roopa

DGP Satyanarayana Rao served a formal notice to DIG Roopa who alleged that Sasikala paid Rs.2 crore as a bribe to enjoy special privileges inside the prison. As quoted to the media "You are required to get an apology duly published in all leading newspapers in the next three days, failing which, I will be constrained to initiate appropriate legal proceedings, both civil and criminal, against you to recover damages from you and the same is quantified as Rs 50 crore tentatively," read the notice.
Rao further mentioned his name has been tarnished ever since Roopa's accusation came into picture, she was also transferred to traffic department following her revelation.
