The national ruling party BJP headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying to make inroads in Tamil Nadu where traditionally it has been weak over the years. Recently L. Murugan has been appointed as the TN state leader and he has been quite proactive.

To give a boost to its future in the state the BJP has been looking to film stars and already important postings have been given to actresses Gayathri Raghuram, Madhuvanthi, Namitha, Gauthami and Kutty Padmini.

Now it has been announced that actors Radha Ravi and directors Gangai Amaran and Kasthuri Raja have been nominated to the posts of the executive committee of the BJP. Kasthuri Raja is the father of top star Dhanush and him being such a close relative of Superstar Rajinikanth will surely give rise to a lot of speculations and debates in the media in the coming days.
