Dhanush: Karthick is the reflection of millions

The team of ‘Mayakkam Enna’ is overwhelmed with the response they have received from critics who are all praises for the movie and audience who have appreciated the stars’ performances and Selvaraghavan’s original and novel script.

Speaking on the good response the film received, Dhanush expressed, “I'm overwhelmed. Thanks for accepting Mayakkam Enna and myself as Karthick Swaminathan. The film is still haunting me, first time a movie of mine has such an effect on me. Some emotions are deeper than we expect. I’m stuck there”.

Dhanush plays a photographer in the film who is passionate about his field more than anything else. How he hogs the limelight after facing many hurdles, all the while where his wife is his backbone and pillar of support (played by Richa) forms the crux of the story.

“Mayakkam Enna deals with why you should leave few artistes in their own world. What an artiste’s mind is and how important it is for an artiste to believe in his dreams. Success doesn’t happen overnight, neither by luck nor by an opportunity. It happens by the belief you’ve built within yourself for ages. Karthick Swaminathan is a reflection of millions of such youngsters”, he signs off.
