It is already known that Dhanush's upcoming film, 'Maaran', is scheduled to release directly on Disney+Hotstar on March 11. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the talented director Karthik Naren has helmed the action thriller, which has Malavika Mohanan as the leading lady.

It was earlier announced that Suhas-Sharfu and Tamil cinema's leading lyricist Vivek has co-written the movie. Now, lyricist Vivek has taken to his Twitter page to announce that he has moved out of the project due to creative differences. Vivek thanked the 'Maaran' team for the opportunity and added that he is grateful to the cast and crew. He apologised to Dhanush fans for opting out as the writer of the outing.

Recently, the makers launched the trailer of 'Maaran'. When a fan congratulated Vivek for penning sharp dialogues after watching the trailer, the songwriter replied, "Very happy to see so much, such love towards #Maaran trailer n Dialogues. As many of U hav pointed out, maaran is coming out as a stylish, commercial n emotional film. I m equally excited to watch d film like U. But those dialogues r not mine. Vivek wrote, "Due to creative differences i chose to move out of #Maaran as a dialogue n screenplay writer. Thanks team for respecting my decision. Today I am part of some of d biggest movies in india as a dialogue n screenplay writer. Wil always remember dat Maaran was d starting point. It is worth mentioning that the cinematographers Yamini Yagnamurthy and Dinesh Krishnan walked out of Dhanush's other two projects, 'Naane Varuven' and 'Vaathi', respectively. Meanwhile, 'Maaran' stars actor Samuthirakani as the villain with Smruthi Venkat, Master Mahendran, Bose Venkat and Panda Prashanth playing supporting roles. GV Prakash has composed music for the upcoming movie.
