Actor Dhanush currently has a packed lineup of upcoming films. His next release, 'Kubera', directed by Sekhar Kammula, is set to hit theaters on June 20. This will be followed by 'Idli Kadai', a film directed by Dhanush himself, which is scheduled for release on October 1. Another anticipated project is Dhanush's Hindi film 'Tere Ishk Mein', directed by Aanand L. Rai, expected to release later this year.

In addition to these, Dhanush has greenlit multiple projects with various directors. Notably, he is set to collaborate with director Rajkumar Periyasamy for a film officially announced and blessed with a pooja ceremony a few months back.

One of the most awaited collaborations is between Dhanush and director Mari Selvaraj for a film tentatively titled 'D56'. Originally announced to be produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, it is now being produced by Vels International. At a pre-release event for the film 'Sumo', produced by Vels, company head Ishari K. Ganesh shared an exciting update. He revealed that A.R. Rahman will compose the music for 'D56'.

A.R. Rahman has previously worked with Dhanush in the film 'Raayan' and with Mari Selvaraj in 'Maamannan'. Now, all three are joining hands for this upcoming project. Ganesh also hinted that Dhanush will work on another film with a different director before starting the Mari Selvaraj project, and this too will be produced by Vels International. An announcement is expected soon.
