Director Mari Selvaraj has officially announced his next film, and it will once again feature the much-loved actor Dhanush. Sharing his excitement, Selvaraj said, "I’m thrilled to announce that my next film will also be with the beloved Dhanush sir."

This announcement comes as fans celebrated the fourth anniversary of the critically acclaimed film “Karnan,” which was directed by Mari Selvaraj and starred Dhanush. The powerful duo is reuniting for Dhanush’s 56th film, which will be produced by Ishari Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International.

The announcement poster hints at a gripping storyline with the phrase, "Roots begin a Great War.”

Expressing his heartfelt appreciation, Mari Selvaraj said, "I’m happy to celebrate the 4th year of the journey started by Karnan’s sword. Thank you to everyone who supported and celebrated the film over the years. I’m eager to work again with Dhanush sir. It’s a long-held desire coming true.”

He also mentioned that this will be his first project with producer Ishari Ganesh, and called the collaboration an exciting and unforgettable experience. “The roots are starting a great war,” Mari concluded.
