Dhanush's 'Edhir Neechal' with Siva Karthikeyan & Priya Anand

Dhanush is no more just an actor, or a singer for that matter. The National Award winner is taking the avatar of a producer, with a film titled 'Edhir Neechal'. Popular television star Siva Karthikeyan (of 'Marina' fame) and Priya Anand will be the lead actors.

Senthil, a former assistant of Vetrimaaran, is making his debut as a director with 'Edhir Neechal', a title which has apparently been inspired from a Nagesh starrer film of the yesteryear, directed by K Balachander.

Touted as a rom-com, the movie is expected to have music by Anirudh, who made a stunning debut with '3' recently. Shooting is expected to start soon, after an official announcement comes from Dhanush.

The film will be completed in one go and it will gear up for release by the third quarter of the year. Both Siva Karthikeyan and Priya Anand (of '180' and 'Vamanan' fame) are thrilled about the film, sources say.
