ADMK men who burnt alive three Dharmapuri girls get out of jail

The ruling ADMK government with the approval of the Governor has granted pardon to three of their cadres Mathu, Nedunchezhian and Muniappan who set a bus ablaze in Dharmapuri burning alive three girls students.

On 2nd February 2000, ADMK chief Jayalalitha was convicted in the Pleasant Stay Hotel case and the three angry men belonging to the party bought petrol from a bunk and set ablaze a bus carrying three Agricultural University girl students. They were first sentenced to death but later got life and now their freedom. The pardon has evoked mixed response on social media as users feel its an injustice to the innocent young lives lost eighteen years ago.
